The Musical Innertube 81 - The Were-Pig of London!

This Halloween, why not scare yourself silly with the story of the hideous Were-Pig of London, a tale of terror handed down from one generation to the next (usually accompanied by the phrase, "Now it's YOUR problem!")? And, as an added bonus, the Were-Pig of London is gluten-free!

The Musical Innertube 77 - A July Fourth Extravaganza!

Featuring a patriotic sing-along, a picnic, games and fireworks! (Bring your own food for the picnic. We never know when someone's allergic.) (Also, insurance prohibits us from playing any games. Which is crappy, because we were going to have lawn darts and a see-how-long-you-can-hang-upside-down-before-blacking-out competition.  Oh, well.)

The Musical Innertube 76 - Happy Father's Day, Nick Danger!

Say Hi to Dad with our traditional Grouch Marx warble.  Say Goodbye to the man who was Nick Danger, Third Eye, as the late Phil Austin (the only Firesign with a real "radio" voice) has the kind of conversation with Catherwood (Dave Ossman) that you might have had with your dad once.

The Musical Innertube 69 - Father Hardy-Har-Har

The absolute best way to celebrate St. Patrick's Day is marching on a cold city street in a flimsy green shirt and plastic green hat, followed by several pints of green beer, followed by a whiskey chaser.  The second-best way is to drink several pints of green beer followed by a whiskey chaser.  A crappy alternative is to listen to this Father Hardy mystery, followed by several pints of green beer and a whiskey chaser.

The Musical Innertube 68 - The Final Frontier

Yes, we know Leonard Nimoy was a good all-around actor. He was terrific, for example in that 1978 version of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers."  And he was a good director: see "Three Men and a Baby."  But he  was, first and foremost, Spock.

The Musical Innertube 66 - Ground To A Halt

My old buddy John Timpane agrees with the Merrimack, NH police, who wrote on their Facebook page: "We here at Merrimack Police felt compelled to let the public know that there is a warrant for Punxsutawney Phil! We have received several complaints from the public that this little varmint is held up in a hole, warm and toasty. He told several people that Winter would last 6 more weeks, however he failed to disclose that it would consist of mountains of snow! If you see him, do not approach him as he is armed and dangerous. Call Merrimack Police, we will certainly take him into custody!"

I Won't Back Down!

Back in July of last year, we posted this Musical Innertube podcast, entitled "Being Petty?"

https://app.box.com/s/1n0aqjqjclz22i59hiklp75utp51ztig

...in which we asked the musical question, "Did Sam Smith rip off Tom Petty?"

Damn straight he did!
